My Story: Why I Do What I Do
I help others transform their health, mindset, and financial future because I know what it’s like to hit rock bottom — physically, emotionally, and mentally — and fight your way back.
I do this work because I never want anyone to feel the way I once felt about themselves.
At just 16 years old, I ran away from home. I entered into a physically abusive relationship with someone nearly 18 years older. That relationship, coupled with trauma from my childhood — including mental, verbal, and physical abuse — spiraled into years of addiction, instability, and emotional pain.
While 90–95% of my childhood was filled with love, opportunities, and material support, it was the 5–10% of the time I felt unworthy, not smart enough, not pretty enough, or simply not enough that carried with me into adulthood — and nearly cost me everything.
After leaving my abusive relationship, I found myself homeless, in and out of three mental institutions, and spending nearly three decades in therapy. I was diagnosed with ADHD, CPTSD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, mood disorder, and schizoaffective disorder. I sustained multiple concussions and traumatic brain injury from a combination of sports, lifestyle, and accidents. From the outside, no one would have guessed — I looked “put together” because I was always working. Hard.
For years, I also battled an eating disorder. From my teenage years into my 30s, I was on a roller coaster of weight loss and weight gain. My relationship with food was unhealthy and toxic, but I eventually lost almost 80 pounds and have maintained that weight loss for over six years. This wasn’t through extreme dieting, but through a shift to a healthier, more balanced lifestyle. I’ve learned to embrace food as nourishment, not a means of control, and this journey has given me the tools to help others break free from unhealthy patterns.
I spent close to 30 years in the healthcare field, including positions with Catholic Healthcare Partners, the Department of Social Services, and other medical institutions — often working two or three jobs at a time.
On the side, I danced in adult clubs to survive. I also raced motorcycles semi-professionally, barefoot waterskied, and snowboarded — activities that brought both freedom and more injuries. I broke my neck sliding down a pole, tore both shoulders, had five knee surgeries, ripped my groin muscle, and sustained over 10 bulging or herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, and Baastrup’s Disease.
I pushed my body to the limit, while my mental health continued to deteriorate.
In 2017, I quit smoking and drinking. In 2019, I gave up meat, dairy and eggs. That same year, I had a relapse that led to my third DUI — a painful but necessary wake-up call.
After transitioning to a fully plant-based lifestyle and working closely with supportive doctors, I eliminated all medications for both mental health and chronic pain. I left a toxic relationship, quit my job, went back to school, and moved 2,200 miles away to start over.
Since then, I’ve been committed not just to surviving — but to truly healing.
I’ve integrated a variety of healing modalities to fully restore my body and mind, including nutrition, movement, spiritual practices, mindset work, and alternative therapies. I continue to explore and expand what’s possible for the human body and spirit.
And most importantly:
I remain a student of life.
I believe everyone I meet has something to teach me, and I’m committed to learning from every experience and every person I encounter on this journey.
