Pain Coaching for People Who Are Tired of Hurting

Living with chronic pain is exhausting—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Pain affects every part of your life, and unless someone has lived it, it’s almost impossible for them to understand what you’re going through. I know this because I’ve lived it, too.

For more than 30 years, I dealt with chronic musculoskeletal pain. I had injuries, surgeries, diagnoses, and scans—yet no matter what I tried, the pain kept showing up. I felt miserable, frustrated, discouraged, and stuck.

I wouldn’t wish chronic pain on my worst enemy.

But I also know this:
Your brain and body are capable of change.
And with the right tools and support, your experience of pain can shift.

My Story: From Constant Pain to Real Relief

Over the years, I had:

  • Five knee surgeries

  • Tears in both shoulders

  • Herniated discs

  • Disc degeneration

  • Baatstrup’s disease

  • Arthritis

  • Countless X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and diagnoses

My injuries were very real—and yet, my suffering didn’t fully make sense.

It wasn’t until I discovered Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), emotional healing work, and cognitive behavioral tools that everything changed.

I learned that:

  • My emotional patterns were influencing my central nervous system.

  • Negative thinking and constant stress kept my body in a chronic fight / flight / freeze response.

  • My brain had developed strong neural pathways that kept sending pain signals—even after tissues had healed.

  • There is a biopsychosocial connection between the mind, emotions, nervous system, and physical pain.

It was like the brain-to-body pathways had been paved in concrete. But through this work, I learned that those pathways can be softened, rewired, and reshaped. My pain, which used to be a 5–8 out of 10, now averages 1–2, and many days it is zero. This transformation didn’t happen overnight. It took education, awareness, emotional work, and consistent practice. And it changed my life.

What We Do in Pain Coaching

Our coaching program uses a holistic, neuroscience-informed approach that helps you understand and retrain the brain–body connection around pain.

  • Learn how to teach your brain that your body is safe, interrupt old pain patterns, and form new neural pathways.

  • We explore the emotional triggers that intensify pain—stress, fear, anger, sadness, overwhelm—and help you respond rather than react.

  • We work on the thoughts, beliefs, and mental habits that can amplify the pain response.

  • You’ll explore unresolved emotions, stressful thought patterns, and misalignment that may contribute to tension in the mind and body.

  • Nutrition, movement, and daily habits can lower inflammation and support your healing journey.

  • Pain recovery takes time.
You are not rushed, and you are not alone. We support you for as long as it takes.

This Is Not About “Pushing Through” Pain

This is about understanding pain differently—through modern neuroscience, emotional awareness, and a compassionate relationship with your body.

Over time, many clients experience:

  • Less fear around pain

  • More control and confidence

  • Lower pain intensity

  • Greater mobility

  • Improved emotional well-being

  • A calmer nervous system

  • A sense of getting their life back

Everyone’s journey is unique, but you will be supported every step of the way.
